Fall 2009 - DPH is partnering with Denver Public Schools in an effort to monitor student absences due to influenza-like illness.  Absenteeism due to influenza-like illness may be an early indicator of influenza activity.

October 26, 2009 - Denver Fire, the DH Paramedic Division and DCPHP are conducting H1N1 vaccination clinics this week at the RitaBassTraumaCenter and several Denver fire stations. The goal is to vaccinate 800 first responders.

 September 28, 2009 - DCPHP participated in a functional exercise to evaluate the current Denver Health and Hospital Authority Mass Prophylaxis Plan. The exercise, entitled “Mass Dispensing for Medical First Responders”, tested the ability of local emergency response agencies to work together to respond to a biological threat.
