DCPHP distributed Emergency Preparedness Go-Kits to Denver Public Health staffers.  The kits contain food and water, space blankets, a radio and flashlight with batteries, a first-aide kit, poncho and other essentials in a sealed container.  The Kits can be kept in a car trunk for up to 5 years, ready for use when needed.
